Diversity

Makes good sense and good business

In our company, as in our nation, our greatest accomplishments come from people of different backgrounds. In this way, our work force is a positive reflection of our society – Georgia Transmission’s success starts with the aspirations, intellect and honest work of people from all races, nationalities, ages and physical abilities. We are proud to have diversity at every level from executives to interns, and across all disciplines and positions.

We know diversity is good for employees and business and is reflected in our business practices, such as:

Recruiting. We recruit from a diverse cross section of colleges and universities and use a variety of sources and job sites.

Leadership. Our leadership ensures diversity is valued and appreciated through our training programs, polices and procedures, and corporate partnerships and events.

Outreach. Our company and our employees are actively involved with many different communities through programs such as Hands-on Atlanta, the United Way, Junior Achievement, Atlanta’s Corporate Walk/Run, the state’s Weekend for Wildlife, habitat protection and historical preservation programs, the Red Cross, March of Dimes and others.
